Pastor Justin L. Teate was born on January 4, 1981 to Dennis and Faye Teate in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Before his first birthday, his family moved to the small town of McKenzie, Alabama where he lived until he moved to Troy, Alabama to attend Troy University at the age of 18.
After his first semester at Troy University, Pastor Teate was born again into the Lord’s Family on January 27, 2000. He was led to the Lord by Pastor Craig Holmes of God’s Way Baptist Church in Troy, Alabama. Pastor Teate answered the Lord’s call to full-time service during a missions conference at God’s Way Baptist Church in September 2000.
Pastor Teate started attending Crown College of the Bible in the Fall of 2001. He was awarded the Bachelor of Biblical Studies in 2005 and his Master of Ministry in 2006. While attending Crown, he met his wife, Heather (Batt) Teate. They were married on July 29, 2006.
Pastor Teate had the great privilege of serving under Pastor Craig Holmes at Gilead Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia for seven years. In June of 2013, Grace Baptist Church called Pastor Teate to become the pastor. He began pastoring on July 1, 2013. Pastor and Heather Teate now have four children: Justus, Laadan, Moriah, & Adah.
Pastor Teate wants to follow the Lord’s leading for Grace Baptist Church in all areas. He believes that every member should BELIEVE the Word of God, BECOME what the Lord desires for them to become, and to BELONG as a vital part of the local church. He loves the Lord Jesus Christ, the souls of men, the local church, and World Evangelism. One of his great desires is to train men to be able to train others also (II Timothy 2:1-2).
